Mumbaikar is an upcoming Hindi-language action thriller movie directed by Santosh Sivan. It is a remake of the Tamil film Maanagaram (2017) by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Vikrant Massey and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. This is Sethupathi’s debut in Hindi cinema.

Mumbaikar film follows four similar stories that intersect at each other on a similar level. In the first story young man named Vikrant Massey comes to Mumbai for a job interview but he is trapped in a kidnapping case. second story telling us about a gangster named Vijay Sethupathi who is running from his rivals and police.
In third story taxi driver Sanjay Mishra who is witnesses of murder and trying to save his life. Last four story is about a cop Sachin Khedekar who has responsibility to solve this kidnapping case and Cath the murderer and gangster.
